But for those of us who have had to start from zero, we know that a mattress is all we had in our first houses. And in this first house, the space was quite small, fitting a bed and a sofa set is an impossible mission. At least not in the traditional form of these furniture items

Insufficient space for the furniture we want is not a sore thumb only for the person in a bedsitter/single room. As Spacious Functional Furniture, we have experienced these challenges. And many times we hoped we could walk down the street and find a true sofa bed or a murphy bed. And this would have meant that any of our limited space would have accommodated the bed and the sofa (as much as they are two-in-one pieces).

We took may walks along Jogoo road, Ngara and Githurai and could not seem to find such furniture. And hence the journey to make the functional (multipurpose) furniture, at first to solve our own space problems, started.

And naturally we evolved into a business, to cater for individuals with space optimization pain points such as ours.

But as we did this, we did not want just furniture. We wanted beautiful quality furniture. And we settled on upholstered items and artificial wood with veneered colorful tops. Climate challenges are big enough already, and we would not want to contribute to the problem by promoting tree felling.
